I've spent a few years with PyCharm and I'm still wrestling with it. It feels sluggish and resource-hungry.
In contrast, I'm feeling at home with Zed after just a couple of hours. So far, I haven't found any deal-breakers, and it's the closest thing to TextMate I've tried in years.
IMO, no other editor has matched TextMate's live-preview UX for project-wide search and replace, but I guess I'll have to live without it. 08/06/2026 à 11:09
